Hassayampa River Preserve with Torin Waters

Meet at 6:30 AM(preserve opens at 7:00 AM, but the parking area is usually open at least 30 minutes beforehand, and has good birding) Beat the summer doldrums at the shady and serene Hassayampa River Preserve! Breeding populations of Red-shouldered and Gray Hawks, along with Tropical Kingbirds, make this a truly unique location in Arizona. Note: there is a $5.00 per person entry fee here, for those who do not have a Maricopa Regional Parks pass.
